Morsels Worth Remembering
Casual-to-elegant affairs are the specialty of the Ocean Pines Yacht Club. Managed by the Matt Ortt Companies, the venue offers a range of catering options for parties both big and small for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Sweeping bayfront views can be enjoyed from the outside patio, lower-level dining room and upper-level ballroom and offer the perfect seaside setting for upcoming holiday events as well as for company parties, anniversary and birthday celebrations, reunions and receptions.
Catered affairs in the upstairs ballroom can be reserved for as few as 30 guests and are priced per person. Room rental, tableware, set up, breakdown, table linens and cloth napkins are included.
“The residents of Ocean Pines have truly welcomed us to the community and have been so supportive of what we’ve been doing at the Yacht Club,” said Matt Ortt Companies Special Events Director Angie Ortt. “We’re looking forward to introducing even more people to our banquet services, especially during the holidays.”
Meals for Morning, Noon and Night
Early birds can opt for a catered breakfast that can be as simple as pastries and fresh fruit or a spread featuring house-made granola and breakfast sandwiches. A buffet with meats (scrapple, anyone?), waffles, oatmeal, bagels, potatoes and an array of salads is perfect for brunch and can be enhanced with tasty additions like a biscuit or grits station.
If it’s lunch you’re looking for, consider a cold buffet with fare far beyond the standard PB & J. How about a grilled flank steak and gorgonzola on brioche or a peppered turkey and pepper jack cheese wrap with basil mayo? Hot buffet choices include cheese boards, mini wedge salads, Italian sausage, meatballs and marinara plus sides such as roasted fingerlings, parmesan gnocci and more.
Plated lunches include up to three entrée choices and a desert. Options include dishes such as a strawberry salad, cream of crab soup and lobster rolls. Themed lunches are also available – think BBQ or street tacos. Olé!
The possibilities for dinner are almost endless. Available buffet-style or plated, they include a choice of one stationary appetizer, one butlered appetizer, three entrees, one starch side and one veggie side. Desserts and extra appetizers can also be added.
The choices include some of the Yacht Club’s popular dinner menu items, such as conch fritters and peanut butter pie, as well as a host of other dishes such as seared sirloin, pan-seared duck breast and stuffed pork chops. Or try a taste of the Mediterranean or Little Italy with a themed dinner. A la carte and cocktail menus are also available.
